Hope Baptist Church has been hosting leisure games of softball on Sunday afternoons for a couple of years now. The games are an outreach opportunity to invite family, friends, neighbors. and colleagues to join as players and spectators.
Games are played at John Hopkins APL Softball Field and light refreshments are served: hot dogs, chicken, and/or burgers. We encourage those participating to bring sides, desserts, and beverages to share with guests.
The games are growing in popularity, and Hope wants to offer the opportunity to other churches in the MMBA to get involved — and possibly formalize a weekly softball league. If a church does not have enough players to form a team, we can certainly combine groups of interested players.
