Opportunities to be On Mission

On Mission: Embracing Purpose as a Church Community

Being “On Mission” means actively living out the church’s purpose beyond the walls of the building and into everyday life. For a church, it’s a call to embody faith through outreach, service, and authentic connection with the broader community. It involves discipleship, sharing hope, and meeting the practical needs of those around us.

Living “On Mission” challenges each member to align their actions with the teachings of love, compassion, and service found in scripture. It’s not just a phrase but a commitment to serve, inspire, and create a positive impact, making the mission of the church a movement felt in every part of life.

  • Everyone Belongs Camp: 2025, July 18 – 20 – Volunteers are needed for this overnight weekend for teens and young adults affected by disability. It is one way we are reaching young individuals affected by disability with the gospel. Through this camp, we hope to invite all people with disabilities to the eternal banquet by fostering community and connections with the local church. Your life will be changed.
  • Disaster Relief Opportunities:
    • Get Disaster Relief trained now. BCMD has ongoing training throughout the year.
    • North Carolina Baptists on Mission has opportunities to sign up to volunteer. We are looking at long-term help needed. As your church starts to think of 2025 missions, hurricane relief may be a wonderful option.
