The Annual Meeting of the MMBA was held Sunday Oct 7 at Elders Baptist Church. In a brief business meeting, messengers approved the budget for 2019, and elected new officers for the coming year. The new officers are: Moderator: Travis (TJ) Johnson (Tri-County) ; Vice Moderator – Ken Cavey (Bethel); New OMC members – Anthony Trussoni (Faith Family) and Neville Johnson (Frienship). Continuing to serve on the OMC: John Mackal (CrossLife) and Sung Jung (Icthus).
In the inspirational worship service that followed, the music was led by the Bethany Baptist Church Praise Team and guest soloist Twana Ellis who brought heaven down to us in song! Dr. Kevin Smith, followed with a powerful, challenging message on Christ’s desire for unity in His Church and reminded us that the world will know we are a His people by our love for one another – a love that does not allow race, nationality, education, poverty, wealth, or politics to divide us.
